A successful tourney in Egypt 2009 doesn't seem to sum up the script for Dominic Adiyiah.
The striker helped fire Ghana to a first FIFA U-20 World Cup glory last Friday in Cairo as the Black Satellites became the first African side to win the title.
But with the world watching Adiyiah's rise, the Ghanaian striker says he is staying focused solely on the future.
Now, he is seeking to emulate stars like Messi, Saviola and Aguero, all players who graced the age competition with success and continue to live up to their billing at the highest level.
"I'm not going to rest on this," he told FIFA.com.
"I'm following in the footsteps of the likes of Messi, Saviola and Aguero and I want to emulate their careers - and I'll work hard to do that. I'm preparing to get to the top."
There was no goal from Adiyiah in the decider against Brazil during normal time as Ghana held the South Americans at bay with ten men for 83 of the 120 minutes and triumphed 4-3 in the subsequent penalty shoot-out.
Apart from Egypt 2009 belonging to Ghana, who were worthy winners, the competition also saw Adiyiah, becoming the third-top scorer in the tournament's history and subsequently rewarded with the adidas Golden Ball and Golden Shoe.
