Project Assist Global Limited, a project management consulting and training company, is set to organise the maiden edition of ‘My Future 2019’ Job Fair on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Prisco Park, Tema.

As the first job fair of its kind in the Tema Municipality, My Future 2019 Job Fair, is expected to provide a matching platform connecting recruiters and employers to ready-to-work talents.

The day will see 1,000 unique visitors come together with 90 exhibitors from both private and public sectors to support the goal to create more employment opportunities especially for the teeming unemployed youth of Tema.

This event, expected to attract the youth, corporate bodies and the general public, also aims at alleviating the huge problem of youth unemployment in the country by providing opportunities for sharpening of skillsets, networking, and interactions with corporate bodies, training and project management guidance for start-ups.

Curriculum Vitae Clinics and Interview Coaching will be available to guide and assist the attendees and improve their chances of securing a job. Sponsoring companies and their staff will be given offsite Project Management training.

“Job seekers will be able to practice their interview skills and introduce themselves to the potential employers, also you can boost your chance for a call back by meeting them and impressing with your personality not just your resume,” Anita Appiah, CEO of Project Assist Global Limited said.

Speakers include Phyllis Wontumi, an HR expert, will be speaking on HR Related Issues in Ghana; Rev. Moses Tetteh, a youth ambassador, will deliver a talk on Entrepreneurship and Youth Job Creation; and Richard Kwarteng Ahenkorah, CEO AllTime Finance and Eagle Learning Institute will be speaking on Self Leadership.

There will be opportunities for both start-ups and established companies to exhibit their wares and services to the public and for corporate bodies to recruit potential employees, a statement from Project Assist Global said.

“The issue of youth employment has long pervaded in the Ghanaian industry. Let us contribute to ending this menace by participating in our numbers in the ‘My Future Job Fair 2019’ on 27^th July 2019 at Tema Prisco Park. As Ghanaians our success should be counted by how many young people go to school and get skills and jobs,” the statement added.

Exhibitors include GHL Bank, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Army, IPMC, Solushop, Akaditi, DelaFlora, Regional Maritime University, Youth Employment Agency (YEA), and Nation Builders Corps (NABCo).

Others are the Prudential Life Insurance, Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Treasure Trove, Tenstep (VAMK), Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Ethnic Naturals, Agotime Kpetoe Kente Weaving Vocational School, Methodist University College Ghana, SG Farms, and Rotary International.
