Ghana defender Harrison Afful has hailed Emmanuel Clottey’s yet to be sealed move to Tunisian giant Esperance Sportive Du Tunis.
Emmanuel clottey is set to undergo a medical on Tuesday before sealing a deal with a reported 1.5 million dollar transfer fee.
Clottey who leads the scorers chat in this year’s CAF Champions league with 12 goals is expected to earn 500,000 dollars a year after agreeing personal terms.
If the deal is concluded on Tuesday, Clottey will join Harrison Afful who has been playing with the Tunisian side for the past three seasons.
Harrison Afful in an interview with JOY Sports noted that, Clottey’s capture will help his side defend their African title.
“Esperance wants to retain the title in the champs league, that is why they are chasing Clottey and he is someone who always scores”. If you have a striker like Clottey I think every team would love to play with and chase after him", said Afful
“Esperance have made the right choice, we just hope all will go well for him. I believe in Clottey and I know what he can do”.
