Ghanaian media personality Afia Adepa Kwarteng has released a three-track mini album titled Oguama Mogya, a deeply personal thanksgiving project inspired by her recovery from a life-threatening thyroid surgery in 2025.
The project, now available on major digital streaming platforms including YouTube, captures a defining period in her life shaped by faith, resilience, and gratitude.
According to Afia, the mini album was born out of her desire to thank God after surviving a medical procedure that posed significant risks to her health and, notably, her voice.

She describes the surgery as a life-altering experience that strengthened her spiritual conviction and inspired her to channel her journey into music.

Rather than positioning it as a commercial venture, she explains that the project stands as a testimony of survival and thanksgiving.

Oguama Mogya, which translates as “The Lamb’s Blood,” revolves around themes of healing, divine protection, and renewed hope.
The three songs trace her emotional journey from fear and uncertainty to restoration and purpose, offering encouragement to individuals navigating their own challenges.

Afia says the release also marks a broader calling to use her voice beyond broadcasting, embracing music as a medium for inspiration and spiritual reflection.
The mini album is available for streaming on major digital platforms, with the songs accessible to audiences in Ghana and beyond.
The project underscores that her story did not end in the hospital ward but has evolved into a message of faith, gratitude, and perseverance.
From overcoming a life-threatening health ordeal to producing a spiritually uplifting body of work, Afia Adepa Kwarteng’s journey serves as a reminder that profound testimonies often emerge from life’s most difficult trials.
