Mr. Christopher Gardner, Chief Executive Officer of Gardner Rich LLC, a brokerage firm with offices in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, on Wednesday advised African entrepreneurs to aim at adding value to the world.
“Entrepreneurs on the African continent need to create value for their shareholders through what they do. They should be prepared and get ready because the world is not going to wait for them,” he said.
Mr. Gardner said this when he granted media interviews after he met with a group of Ghanaian entrepreneurs at the United States Ambassador’s residence in Ghana to share ideas about entrepreneurship as well as discuss his life story.
Describing Africa as a market place, he said, the continent has about 800 million people, who patronized goods and services across the world. “Africa’s contribution to the world is significant and the continent deserves respect from around the world,” he added.
Mr. Gardner, who is in the country to participate in a Youth Empowerment Summit, also gave a word of advice to the youth, urging them to endeavor to take responsibility for their actions.
“Do what makes you happy, dream bigger dreams and be prepared to take bigger steps,” he said.
Mr. Gardner is the author of the autobiography “The Pursuit of Happyness,” a number of New York best time sellers and also an avid motivational and inspirational speaker. He addresses audiences all year round on keys to overcoming obstacles and breaking cycles.
