Black Princesses head coach Yusif Basigi says he has no regrets in leaving Mukarama Abdulai to play all minutes in Ghana's opening two games at the 2023 African Games.
The former FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Golden Boot winner has featured in Ghana's first two group games against Ethiopia and Tanzania, scoring the winner in the latter to send the Princesses top of Group A.
Her goal against Tanzania came after harsh criticisms from fans with a session of the stadium booing her during Tuesday's fixture.
It was coming. She's worked tireless all game.

Booed by her own fans at some point but she gets the goal. Brilliant work also from Tracey Twum. https://t.co/WwJJsch1QY
Quizzed on his decision to allow Mukarama to stay on the pitch even when she looked tired, Basigi, who also manages her at Hasaacas Ladies, revealed it's a way to build the player's confidence.
"Mukarama is a household name, we all know and even if she is half-fit and she is up there I think strategically the opponents also do not push further," said the gaffer after the game.
"We all know that for some time now she's been off the field but this is the time for us to help her endure very well.
"For me, I don't see anything wrong with [her playing all minutes]. I have been communicating with her and she still wants to play so if you don't do that, it will rather not help her."
With the 2-1 win over Tanzania, Ghana advanced to the semifinal of the women's football event with a game to spare.
They face Uganda in their last Group A game on Friday, March 15.
