President Akufo-Addo has nominated Dr. Isaac Dasmani as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Prestea-Huni Valley Municipality of the Western Region.
Dr Dasmani is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Cape Coast.
A statement issued and signed by Hajia Alima Mahama, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, on Thursday, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, in Accra, requested the Western Regional Minister to therefore, liaise with the Regional Electoral Commission to conduct the confirmation process of the nominee.
“This is in accordance with article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution, and section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, Act 936,” it said.
