Ghana's leading Acappella quartet, Alabaster Box, and Acappella veterans, New Era, are billed to feature in this year's Ghana Acappella Festival dubbed GH ACAFEST 2017.
The event, which is the second in a role, would also feature groups like Akoo Show Choir, Pipers, Millerites, Vocals, Soul to Soul Praizapella, DE 8pm and the all female Acappella group, Soul Touch.
Themed ‘Making music with our voices’, GH ACAFEST 2017 is slated for August 26, 2017, at the CCB Auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in Kumasi.
Event organisers, Creative Empire told Adom News "the theme emphasizes the power of the voice in making good music even without supporting made musical instruments and that is what the event is all about."

The maiden edition of GH ACAFEST was held last year in Accra and it featured groups like Alabaster Box, New Era Acapella, Psalms, Pipers, and Millerites, Precious Memories, Manifest International, Soul Medics and Psalters.
Creative Empire believes Ghana has enough Acappella talent who can put the country on the centre stage of the global acappella industry.
Lead at Creative Empire, Ben Opoku said they are committed to working assiduously, with both local and international partners, to promote Acappella music.
He believes Acappella music can take its rightful place in Ghana and across the world through "education, recognition and the creation of performance opportunities for the upcoming generation".
Ben Opoku is, therefore, urging all Ghanaians, particularly residents of Kumasi, a city known for producing some of the finest Acappella groups, to come along with their families and loved ones and a enjoy the feast of pure voices.
