The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 held its Ashanti Regional Delegates Conference in Kumasi.
All corners of the Garden City were decorated with portraits of the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, who is tipped to win the NPP’s Presidential primary.
Some of the inscriptions read, “The Hope of Ghana: Alan Kyeremanten,” “The Unifier: Alan Kyeremanten, “Jobs 4 the People, Cash 4 the People: Alan Kyeremanten,” “Next to Lead: Alan Kyeremanten, Ye nim wo firi tete.”

Majority of the delegates openly declared their non-negotiable support for the Trade and Industry Minister, who is regarded as an intelligent and time-tested politician capable of breaking the 8-year cycle of governance in Ghana.


Profile
Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen affectionately called Alan Cash is a Ghanaian politician born on 3rd October, 1955.
He is also a corporate executive, diplomat and an international public servant specialized in global trade issues.
Mr. Kyerematen was Ghana's Ambassador to the United States and later Minister of Trade, Industry. He was also in charge of the Private Sector Development (PSD) and the Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI), under the Kufuor-led NPP government. .
He served as a trade advisor at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he coordinated the African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC).
