Injury played out striker Mathew Amoah from Trainer Claude Le Roy’s squad for the upcoming Ghana 2008, otherwise named MTN African Cup of Nations.
A list of 23 players, minus influential skipper Stephen Appiah, was being hushed in the corridors of the Ghana Football Association late Thursday evening as final squad list for the game that kicks off in 10 days.
Joy News sources at the FA indicated that but for Amoah, there were no real surprises concerning those who failed to make Le Roy’s squad from the list initial list of 28 currently camped in Saudi Arabia.
Amoah and Appiah aside, defenders Francis Dickoh (FC Utretcht, Holland) and Dan Opare (Ashantigold, Ghana), as well as midfielder Moussa Narry (Etoile du Sahel, Tunisia), would not be part of the soccer fiesta.
