Just two years into her music career, Ghanaian alt-pop artist Anabel Rose has released her debut EP, Something About A Rose.
Following the buzz around her singles "Love Me Or Die," "DND," and "Lungs," Anabel’s new project dives deeper into her distinctive sound and the complexity of her persona.
Describing Something About A Rose, Anabel shares, “Each song is personified as a character, each with its own place in a visual world I’ve created.
This EP lets me express parts of myself I can’t usually share out loud.” Through these songs, she introduces listeners to the many facets of her identity and artistry, making Something About A Rose both a musical and visual experience.
The EP features her three released singles, including the fan-favorite "DND," plus three new tracks. Built on her alt-pop foundation, it blends in R&B, Funk, House, Rock, and Bossa Nova influences to craft a genre-crossing sound.
Going solo on this project, Anabel’s aim is clear: to introduce herself fully to the music world and begin her journey as a bold new voice in alternative pop.
With production from Insane Auggie, Mēl, Johnwav, Lolu, and Kxlab, Something About A Rose invites listeners to step into Anabel’s creative world and explore her unique perspective.
