Ghanaian radio personality and DJ Andy Dosty has become the first Ghanaian DJ to headline New York’s Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage Festival.

Andy Dosty, born Andrew Amoh, represented Ghana at this year’s edition of the globally celebrated festival, delivering a performance that showcased Ghanaian music on one of New York’s most iconic outdoor stages.

As part of the festival’s 40th anniversary celebrations, Andy Dosty was not only the only Ghanaian DJ on the line-up but also the first Ghanaian DJ to headline the event, making his appearance a landmark moment for Ghana’s entertainment industry and a significant milestone in the global recognition of Ghanaian DJs.

Known for his energy behind the turntables, Andy Dosty thrilled festival-goers with a set featuring back-to-back Ghanaian hits. His performance captivated the audience, with many fans singing along, dancing and embracing the sounds of Ghana throughout his set.

The internationally acclaimed SummerStage Festival featured a line-up of celebrated musicians, DJs and live bands from around the world. Andy Dosty’s inclusion on the platform reflects his growing international recognition and his continued efforts to promote Ghanaian music beyond the country’s borders.

Over the years, Andy Dosty has established himself as one of Ghana’s respected media personalities. In addition, he hosts The Library on Joy FM 99.7 FM every Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The programme has become a favourite among music lovers for its concept, taking listeners behind the scenes of hit songs by exploring the songwriting process, production journey, inspiration and stories behind some of Ghana’s biggest records.
