The nine people arrested Wednesday by the police in La are to spend another day in police custody.
This is because the trial judge mandated to sit on the case failed to show up.
The suspects accuse the La Traditional Authority of failing to account for the proceeds accrued from running the La Pleasure Beach.
On Wednesday, nine of them were alleged to have proceeded to the Beach to extort monies from revelers, an action which led to their arrest by the police.
The suspects including their spokesperson were charged and dragged to court on Thursday, but the absence of the judge means they would have to return on Friday.
Their arrest followed a complaint made by the traditional authority to the police.
