“I’ve said before that when it comes to the gospel industry in Ghana, I’d say you [Esther Smith] are the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). And this is a title you should wear with pride because you’ve worked hard to earn it,” O.B. stated during the interview.
He highlighted Esther Smith’s impressive discography, noting that she has released nine albums, with nearly every song from each album becoming a hit.
“I mean, you have nine albums and almost all the songs on each of those albums were a hit. So this is a crown you should wear proudly,” he added.
Responding to the accolade, Esther Smith took a modest stance in response to the accolade.
“I mostly want to be modest about it because such titles bring about jealousy. So for me, what is important is for the song to touch hearts and inspire people. So that is my priority.”
O.B. defended his stance, insisting that Esther Smith has the prove to show for taking on the title.
“When someone has worked, the person needs to be celebrated, and I tell you, Esther Smith, you have worked, and there is a body of evidence to show for it. So you deserve the accolades you are getting.”
Esther Smith, known for her powerful vocals and inspiring lyrics, has been a significant figure in the Ghanaian gospel music scene for over two decades.
