Aritz Aduriz completed the job he started last week, by netting the goal to clinch Athletic Bilbao’s Super Copa triumph over Barcelona - following his first-leg hat-trick.
Ernesto Valverde’s side came into the match with a 4-0 lead and never really looked like relinquishing it, despite Barcelona’s territorial dominance and superiority in possession of the ball - with Luis Enrique making six changes to the team that lost so heavily on Friday.
Lionel Messi found the net just before the break with a well-taken volley from close range to give Barca at least some hope of staging a comeback, but the hosts’ chances were effectively ended with the dismissal of Gerard Pique.

Aduriz secured the Super Copa win for his side after 74 minutes, making the most of atrocious defending to finish past Claudio Bravo.
The sending off of substitute Kike Sola did little to dampen Athletic Bilbao jubilation as they lifted a piece of silverware for the first time in 31 years.
