A female fashion designer who graduated along side hundreds of students in Accra recently has promised to take Ghanaian fashion designing to the next level of creativity in order to create jobs for the youth.
Diana Yaa Boafoaa Asare has undergone an intensive 6-month course in modern fashion design and illustration training in addition to three months project work at Rioh College of Design, a leading Creative Arts Service and training institution in Accra.

Diana Boafoaa Asare, who received best student award in one of the categories also got her works featured in the fashion show that was organized by the school to showcase students skills.

Her immediate ambition is to pursue a degree in fashion and design.
In an interview with myjoyonline, Diana Asare said it is very worrying to see most of the youth are unemployed and they also do not have the requisite skills to set up their own businesses.

To contribute her quota to complement several efforts to reduce unemployment in this country, Diana said she is putting some things together to establish her own designing firm to impart fashion skills in youth who are desirous to venture into field.

Touching on her award, Diana Asare said many things accounted for her academic performance, but the two things that she can attribute her achievement to, are passion and commitment. These, she said, are the driving forces behind her project work that helped her to meet assignment deadlines on time.
"I have always been looking for opportunities to create unique things to make my work different," she said.

Diana believes her award would open doors to new opportunities that will shape her career.
“The desire to delight the end user of my work is greatest motivation," said Diana Asare.

According to her, keeping an open mind prepares her mentally to be inspired by new trends in her profession and nature, adding that she always wants to stand out in her clothes, which is the same experience she wants for her valued clients.
