Utility player Aziz Ansah, now playing in Nigeria for Heartland FC, Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League finalists, is happy at a national team call up handed him by Milovan Rajevac.
Aziz was among a number of national team players called up for training as preparations for Ghana’s final World Cup/CAN qualifier against Mali on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, rounded up and the ex-Asante Kotoko star says he is ready to work hard to enable him return to the team.
He told Asempa Sports that the training opportunity was a good opening for a return to the national side after a long while and he would justify the confidence reposed in him by the national coach if gets the opportunity to play.
Heartland last Sunday missed the CAF Champions League narrowly after going down to a late goal by TP Mazembe. Mazembe had lost the first leg encounter in Nigeria by 2:1 and won the title on the strength of the away goal.
