The Bank of Africa (BOA) Group, an international financial company, renowned for its commitment to community banking across Africa, will open another African footprint in Ghana on Wednesday.
BOA West Africa SA has already acquired majority shares in Amalgamated bank, Ghana and has rebranded it into BOA-Ghana, which would be launched with a new logo on Wednesday, 28th of September, 2011 at the Movenpick Hotel.
A statement from the bank said BOA would be introduced to Ghanaians not as the typecast ‘new bank’, but as a reformed and evolved Pan-African bank operating with international credibility and hoping to make a difference in the Ghana.
The statement quoted Managing Director of BOA-Ghana, Mr Kobby Andah as assaying “BOA brings to Ghana its internationally renowned commitment to the development of every society it reaches - we are here to improve upon the existing offerings of Amalbank and to be a pacesetter in banking and to be an exemplary archetype for our competitors.”
BOA Group is a privately owned multinational financial service provider, founded in Bamako, Mali in 1982.
It has consistently impacted several African nations with Ghana being the 15th addition.
The bank aims to explicitly define community banking in every endeavour, establish personal ties with clients and enrich lives in the communities they operate in.
