The Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor John Evans Atta Mills on Saturday reiterated his party’s vision of providing quality leadership to better the socio-economic condition of the nation.
Professor Atta Mills gave the assurance when he received two pick-up vehicles, valued at $32,000 at a ceremony in Accra.
The two vehicles were donated by a Ghanaian investment banker, Mr George Ricketts-Hagan who is resident in the United Kingdom.
Prof. Atta Mills said the gesture will not only serve as an encouragement to the party and other Ghanaians, but also demonstrate the beliefs and faith Ghanaians in the Diaspora have in the NDC towards the attainment of the nation’s vision of a better Ghana.
The Flag bearer assured Ghanaians that he would win the December elections convincingly, saying the pick-ups would serve as a resource to implement programmes for his election as President.
Mr. Ricketts-Hagan said he was motivated to donate to the Atta Mills campaign for President because he is convinced that his honesty and sincerity were leadership qualities needed in the country today.
He urged other well meaning Ghanaians to emulate the gesture.
