December in Ghana has grown into an epic period.
Celebrities and notable figures from all over the world troop into the country for a feel of the yuletide.
This year was not left out as Basketball Africa League (BAL) hosted a mixer at Kozo Restaurant in Accra.
The December 27 event saw a host of star-studded individuals from sports, fashion, finance, showbiz among other sectors including Americana rapper, Jidenna.
The night was geared towards convening stakeholders in the sports industry together to promote basketball on the African continent.

Addressing the gathering, Vice President for BAL, John Manyo-Plange noted that Ghana is blessed with great talents but needs the right infrastructure to help nurture them.
President for BAL, Amadou Fall, recounted that the league’s games “in the past two years have been broadcast in 215 countries around the world and we are only scratching the surface.
“We would love to come to Ghana…have a facility that would allow us to play Basketball Africa league here," he added.

The event was attended by basketball stars like Ghana's former NBA star Pops Mensah Bonsu and Alhaji Mohammed.
Pops, an ambassadors of the BAL himself, shared his vision of having one club in Ghana present the country at the African tournament in the foreseeable future.

The BAL is set for its third season in Dakar, Senegal; Cairo, Egypt; and Kigali, Rwanda.
