Founder of Glo Premier side Berekum Arsenals, Alhaji Yakubu Moro has denied paying a bribe to engage in a match of convenience in his club’s 3-1 win over New Edubiase in the just-ended Glo premier league.
Alhaji Yakubu was accused by Abu Salam, the Marketing Director of New Edubiase of paying an undisclosed sum as bribe to New Edubiase players to play a match of convenience to help Arsenal escape relegation.
He told Asempa Sports that there is no iota of truth in Mr. Abu’s allegation and challenged him to back his claim with evidence.
According to him, it is no news if Arsenals beat Edubiase so he does not see the need why he should pay money to win such a match.
