Black Maidens striker Jane Ayieyam is confident Ghana can make it to next year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Black Maidens will lock horns against Equatorial Guinea in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Saturday, 2nd of November at the Accra sports Stadium.

Ayieyam, who was the top scorer for the Black Maidens with four goals at the Under.17 tournament in Azerbaijan last year, says she is poised to help Ghana seal another qualification and win another medal.

“We believe we can beat them because we have gone through series of tactical game plans and are ready for the game,”Ayieyam said on Asempa FM Sports.

“They (Equatorial Guinea) are a very good side but we are better than them. We will go all out and win this game.  Ghanaian’s should expect more from me because I will surely score at least two goals on Saturday.”

Meanwhile assistant coach of  the Ghana Black Maidens Ben Fokuo  has added that there is no pressure on the girls to beat Equatorial Guinea on Saturday.

“There is no pressure on us. We know expectations are high because of the good performance we showed in the last world cup but we hope to go one step further this time,” the assistant coach said.

“We have bulk of the players who featured in Azerbaijan so there wouldn’t be any  problem with teamwork and understanding. Ghana will surely win.”

The Black Maidens advanced to the final round of this  stage without kicking a ball following the withdrawal of Congo Brazzaville.
