Constituents in Bole-Bamboi, in the Savannah Region, have expressed strong support for their Member of Parliament (MP), Yussif Sulemana, and the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of next week’s elections.
According to the constituents, communities in the area have seen significant development in the fields of education, health, employment, and other social amenities.

A recent project championed by the MP in the constituency is the Bamboi Polyclinic and a new basic school block in the area.
Fuseina Agakpo, a beneficiary of the MP’s women empowerment programme, said she is one of many university students who have benefited from a local shea butter production company that the MP helped establish for women in the Bole community.

“We got this centre (the factory) from our MP; he is the reason why we are here, and I am the supervisor. We are working and earning money every month. As a student, I am getting something from here to support myself. The women around are all benefiting from the centre,” she said.
Mr Malik Fatau, one of the assembly members in the area, praised the MP for helping to electrify most farming communities in his electoral area.
“We now have electricity in our communities. In fact, the three beneficiary communities are very grateful to the MP,” he said, adding, “I am urging everybody to come out and vote massively for John Dramani Mahama, and here, I urge the three communities to also vote for our MP so that he can return to Parliament next year.”

The constituents also highlighted the MP’s work in improving water and sanitation for many vulnerable communities in the constituency, which has strengthened their resolve to continue supporting him.
“He has done a great job for us. Water is life, and he is the only MP who has provided water for us since 1992,” one constituent claimed.
The residents have therefore promised the MP another term, describing him as their “messiah” who truly has the constituency at heart.
Recently, the MP donated assorted toiletries, food, and electronic gadgets to Bole Senior High School following the school’s request.

He also supported newly trained hairdressers in the constituency by providing hairdryer machines. For him, it is time for the people to retain him as the MP for Bole-Bamboi and also re-elect former President John Mahama to the office of the presidency to help shape Ghana into a better state.
Ghana’s elections are scheduled for December 7, with special voting taking place on December 2.
