The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Akosombo-based BridgeView Resort, Edmond Ahadome, has been crowned the Best CEO of the Year in Hospitality at the just-ended 2023 Ghana CEO Vision and Awards held at Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on Saturday.
The 'CEO of the Year - Hospitality' award is a significant accolade that celebrates exceptional achievements in business, leadership, innovation, and economic contributions. This distinction is granted to individuals and organizations that exemplify outstanding practices, visionary leadership, and a resolute commitment to nurturing economic growth and business development.
This award recognizes Mr Edmond Ahadome's continuous dedication to creating employment opportunities and positioning himself as a leader in the industry, and setting a benchmark through his unwavering commitment to excellence.
The 2nd edition of the Ghana CEO Vision and Awards was on the theme; "The Role of Business Leadership Towards Achieving the SDGS in Ghana."
The platform seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished CEOs who are making a significant impact towards achieving the SDGS in Ghana.
Speaking to the media after receiving the award, Edmond Ahadome said, Ghana's tourism industry has enormous potential to create employment opportunities for the citizenry, adding that his company is committed to investing in the sector to create opportunities for the youth.

According to him, the diaspora community remains critical in the quest to unlock the potential of the African continent, and thus called on the diaspora community to invest strategically in the continent.
Mr Ahadome was thankful that his company’s humble beginnings continue to be recognized and hopes it motivates others to invest in Ghana.


The event was attended by dignitaries including the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Harriet Thompson, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, H.R.M King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the King of the Ga state, Mark Okraku-Mantey, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, H. E Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator, Ghana, H. E Javier Guitierrez Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, and several other dignitaries.

Edmond Ahadome's leadership extends to the intellectual property practice at Adomi Advisory Group, further illustrating his versatile pursuit of excellence in both the legal and business realms.
With a decade of experience in litigating intellectual property cases, Edmond has offered strategic counsel to numerous clients across diverse industries, facilitating their litigation strategies and business objectives. His clientele includes prestigious entities such as Nike, Adobe, Boston Scientific, Charter Communications, Time Warner Cable, Gilead, Sanofi, and governmental organizations like the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Before embarking on his legal journey, Edmond held a position as a software engineer for five years, contributing to the analysis, modification, and development of remote monitoring software, as well as crafting user applications for patients with implanted medical devices.
Edmond's accomplishments have garnered notable recognition, including the Ghana Order of Merit from the Government of Ghana, the Excellence in Business Award, and Startup CEO of the Year from the Ghana Business Awards. In 2022, he secured the top spot at the Ghana 40 under 40 awards, received the Presidential Award from the National Bar Association, and was designated one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) during the U.N. General Assembly in the Law and Justice Category (Great Legal Minds).
