CAF fines Ahly for crowd violence

The Confederation of African Football have handed a USD 30,000 fine to Egyptian club Al Ahly over fans riot in their continental game against Leopards of Congo. Ahly will also play their next two matches behind closed doors. Incident Al Ahly's fans fought with themselves before the match and that delayed the clash for 20 minutes. -CAF sent us a formal letter with the fine and we have to accept it. CAF has also warned us that they will move our matches out of Egypt if this happens again and I hope the fans understand what they are doing, Al Ahly director Sayed Abdul Hafez said to supersport.com -We will now play our match against Zamalek without fans as well as the semis if we qualify and I hope they get the message, he added. Trip Al Ahly will travel on Thursday (today) to El Gouna where they will play their match against Zamalek next Sunday. The Red Devils are in second place with 7 points while Zamalek are on the bottom with 4 points.
