Calm is said to have been restored in Kambatiac in the Bumkprugu Yunyoo district of the Northern Region following clashes between the Naboon and Nakook factions Thursday.
Twenty-six houses were torched with six people sustaining minor injuries in the ensuing battle over land.
Residents were said to have fled for their dear lives.
Speaking to Joy News on Friday, the Public Relations Officer of the Northern Region Police Command, Chief Inspector Ebenezer Tetteh said the police have intervened in the matter.
According to him, the opinion leaders of the two feuding factions have been spoken to and have agreed to cease fire.
Meanwhile, a team of police personnel have been dispatched into the conflict area to restore peace.
He assured residents who fled the town for their safety to return.
