The Catholic Bishops' Conference has lauded the National Elections Security Task Force (NESTF) for its commendable efforts in ensuring peace and security during the 2024 General Elections.
The Task Force, under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, was praised for its exceptional role in safeguarding citizens, electoral officials, and the integrity of the electoral process.
In a statement, the Secretariat stressed the significance of security in upholding democratic values and the peaceful exercise of political rights.
It noted that the NESTF’s meticulous preparations and professional handling of security arrangements before and during the elections were instrumental in maintaining stability across the country.

These efforts, it emphasised, created a safe environment that enabled Ghanaians to participate in the elections confidently and without fear of intimidation.
The Secretariat concluded by expressing its gratitude to the NESTF for its dedication, noting that its contributions significantly bolstered the credibility of the electoral process and reinforced the nation’s commitment to democratic principles.
“The National Catholic Secretariat of Ghana wishes to extend its deepest commendation to the National Elections Security Task Force (NESTF), led by the Inspector General of Police, for its exceptional role in providing security during the 2024 General Elections.”
