The Chief Executive Officer of the Obuasi-based Magmens Couture, Marian Gifty Mensah, has once again added to a plethora of recognitions due to her exceptional contributions to the fashion industry in Ghana.
The highly esteemed fashion designer was recently awarded as the global woman fashion entrepreneur at the 2nd edition of the Global SHE Achievers awards held in Gambia.
This international award becomes a feather in the cap of Marian's award-laden fashion career.
The Global She Achievers Conference and Awards, hosted by The Business Executive Media Group, were held in Banjul, Gambia, to celebrate the achievements of women globally.
The event recognized women across various spheres and provided a platform for them to connect and share experiences.
Reacting to the award, Marian recounted her journey into the world of fashion, emphasizing that she has come this far by dint of hard work and perseverance.
For Marian, what started as a mere hobby has now transmogrified into a cherished profession. She said the recognition only confirms her passion for fashion and a desire to inspire a lot of women, not only in Ghana but also on the African continent.
She challenged women to harness their God- given talent, polish them, and become professionals.
" I want to seize this opportunity to admonish women across the African continent to commercialise their talent. A time has come for women to prove their worth by bringing their talent to the fore. We should harness our potential to the fullest. It is through that that we can make the impact we crave for. "
Marian Gifty Mensah's recognition as the Global Woman Fashion Entrepreneur of the year came on the heels of being crowned as Ghana’s Most Respected CEO in Fashion and Lifestyle Services at the 7th edition of Ghana’s Most Respected CEO’s Awards.
