The Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) has dissociated itself from the 2015 Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA 2015).
The Chamber says it was included as a partner of the awards without their approval.
“We wish to categorically state that the CBOD is not and has not been a partner to the GOGA 2015 awards being organized by Xodus Communications Limited,” the Chamber said in a statement.
CBOD says although they were associated with the award in 2014 they have since cut ties with award organizers.
“We therefore wish to advice the public and industry players (i.e. BDCs, OMCS, Oil Financing Banks, Regulators, etc.) to take this disclaimer into account when considering whether or not to participate in or support the GOGA 2015 Awards,” CBOD said.

It has come to our notice that the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) has been included as a partner of the 2015 Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA 2015), without our approval.
We wish to categorically state that the CBOD is not and has not been a partner to the GOGA 2015 awards being organized by Xodus Communications Limited. We do admit being a part of the 2014 edition, which we believe was organized in a manner that ensured the needed integrity to make an awards scheme credible. We are not in a position to hold the same opinion for 2015 and as such are not and will not be a part of the GOGA 2015 and subsequent editions until otherwise advised. We therefore wish to advice the public and industry players (i.e. BDCs, OMCS, Oil Financing Banks, Regulators, etc.) to take this disclaimer into account when considering whether or not to participate in or support the GOGA 2015 Awards.
Thank you.
