The Chief Drummer of the Ghana Football Association Joseph Langabel has made an urgent appeal to government to make available his share of reward from the Satellites victory.
President John Mills on Saturday announced a $750,000, and a brand new Toyota Saloon car for each of the entire play-body and technical team as reward for annexing Ghana’s first and Africa’s first U-20 World Cup.
A fifteen year insurance package has also been announced in their name.
Even though the players and technical team have expressed profound gratitude to government for the honour done them, Joseph Langabel, known for his colloquialism is not a happy man.
He was with the team throughout the tournament in Egypt and feels his contribution, which he describes as indispensable and led to the Satellites victory, has not been appreciated.
In an interview with Joy Sports’ Nathaniel Attoh, the aggrieved drummer reminded the government of his role in the Satellites’ success and called for his share of the reward.
