AshantiGold coach CK Akonnor has told his players to lift up their game ahead of their league game with Medeama.
The Miners have endured a difficult start to the season winning only two games out of 12. A dismal start which was worsened by the resignation of head coach Bashir Hayford.
The team has been a pale shadow of itself all season long but will be hoping for a new spark as they host the Tarkwa based side at the Len Clay Stadium.
This is coach Akunnor's second league game since taking charge of the team and he will be hoping to get his first win.
“The players need to change their attitude and mentality, it is unprofessional if they are not ready to die for the club. There are lot of work to be done and we need to fix players who are ready to play” he said
Ash Gold are currently 16th on the Ghana premier table with 8 points after 12 games played and C.K Akonnor fears the might be relegated if the players do not show an improved attitude,
