Two nursery children of the St. Francis Primary School in Dompim in Tarkwa Nsuem district of the Western Region, have been crashed to death after their school wall collapsed on them.
The accident happened on Monday following a downpour. The children were reportedly leaning on the wall when it collapsed and killed them.
Following the development, the proprietor as well as the headmaster of the school have been invited by the Tarkwa Divisional police for questioning.
Divisional Commander, ACP Paul Ayittey told Francisca Kakra Forson on the Joy FM Midday News that the invitation is to enable his outfit find out from the two men if they had the requisite documentation to operate the school.
"We want to find out if they have the blessing [of the Ghana Education Service] to run the school," ACP Ayittey said.
Meanwhile, Presiding member of the area Abban Mensah told Joy News engineers of the Assembly have been instructed to assess the safety of the entire school building.
