Information reaching Asempa Sports indicates that Michael Ayittey Okine a.k.a. Ayittey Powers has finally signed a contract to fight his arch rival Isaac Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku on May 16 at Accra Sports Stadium.
The much awaited bout was scheduled to take place on April 18 but Ayittey Powers surprisingly told Box Office Sports Promotion, the promoters of the big bout to postpone the bout because his spiritual father Prophet TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) had told him not to fight on Good Friday.
The date for the fight was therefore changed to May 16 but Powers refused again to sign the contract when the stakeholders met last week to determine matters relating to the fight.
This forced stakeholders of the anticipated bout to meet on Monday afternoon to sanction Powers for deceiving boxing fans.
Powers realizing the implications of any sanctions by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) quickly agreed to fight on May 16 and signed the contract for the bout to come off.
“Ayittey Powers has finally signed to box on May 16 with Bukom Banku so the bout is coming on live and colored” Naa Darkoa Doodo, the public relation officers of Ghana Boxing Authority told Asempa Sports.
