The Constitution Review Commission has released 25 submissions it says dominated submissions during its nationwide consultations. These were sifted from over 60,000 submissions received by the Commission from Ghanaians. These include proposals for the abolition of ex-gratia for top public servants and whether or not Members of Parliament should double as ministers. The Commission officially outdoored its text-in (sms) campaign Friday and it is aimed at getting more people to share their views on these proposed amendments. The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Dr Raymond Atuguba, said “from the comfort of your office, your home, your bedroom, your car, during the day or in the still of the night, you can make your views known.”Contributors are urged to share their views on the subjects by texting their sms messages to short code 1992 on all networks.Dr Atuguba said one issue will be tabled each day and citizens are expected to express their views on the issue for that day.Source: Joy News/Ghana
