Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia is optimistic about Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak's quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest solo cooking session.
Failatu aims to cook continuously from Monday, January 1 to Friday, January 5, 2024, for a duration surpassing 120 hours.
The current record, standing at 119 hours and 57 minutes, was achieved by Alan Fisher from Ireland in 2023.
Failatu's marathon cooking event is taking place at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, drawing supporters eager to witness this remarkable feat.
In a Facebook comment made on Monday, January 1, Vice-President Bawumia encouraged Failatu to aim for gold in this record-breaking endeavour.
"Faila, I wish you all the best in your attempt to set a new world record with your Cook-A-Thon. It is possible to break the record and set a new one. Go for gold Jah Bless."
