At its annual end-of-year stakeholder meeting, Cosmopolitan Health Insurance's Managing Director, Dr. Setsoafia-Tukpeyi Godwin, stressed the importance of enhanced collaboration between health insurers and healthcare facilities.
The stakeholder forum, themed "In it with you for a better tomorrow," convened key healthcare industry players to discuss innovative strategies for improving healthcare service delivery.
Dr. Setsoafia-Tukpeyi shared insights on the company's transformative initiatives, shaping the future of healthcare.
He emphasised that robust partnerships between insurers and providers are crucial for delivering exceptional insured patient care. By fostering open dialogue and mutual understanding, Cosmopolitan Health Insurance reaffirms its commitment to advancing healthcare excellence through strategic partnerships.

In his keynote address, the MD stressed the company has contributed significantly to the industry for over 10 years and that collaboration between health insurers and healthcare facilities is crucial for ensuring that patients receive quality care.
He noted that when insurers and providers work together, they can share knowledge, resources, and best practices to improve health outcomes for insured members who use both services.
Dr. Setsoafia-Tukpeyi emphasised the importance of monthly reconciliation of claims, stressing that timely and accurate payment of claims is crucial for healthcare providers to continue delivering quality care.

He also highlighted the responsibility of health insurers to discharge their obligations to service providers, including providing timely and accurate payments, as well as support and resources to enhance care delivery.
Speaking at the forum, Doris Agbate-ACII, who is the Head of Customer Solutions, also emphasised that member experience needs to be improved at the provider end. She noted that healthcare providers play a critical role in shaping the patient experience and that insurers and providers must work together to ensure that patients receive seamless, high-quality care.

The chairperson for the forum, Dr. Awuku-Asabre Joseph, mentioned that the stakeholder forum provided a platform for insurers, providers, and other stakeholders to come together and discuss ways to improve the delivery of healthcare services.
In conclusion, the MD's call for enhanced collaboration between health insurers and healthcare facilities is a step in the right direction. By working together, insurers and providers can improve the delivery of healthcare services, enhance the patient experience, and ultimately achieve better health outcomes.
Representatives of the healthcare facilities thanked Dr. Setsoafia-Tukpeyi for his open-door policy and transformational leadership over the years within the private health insurance sector and wished the team success.

Dr. Setsoafia-Tukpeyi thanked Dr. Afua Okudjeto (General Manager-North Legon Hospital), Eric Afram (HSP Manager-Cosmopolitan Health Insurance), Elizabeth Amponsah (Brands Manager-Cosmopolitan Health Insurance), Eric Badu (Head-HSP & Membership Operations-Cosmopolitan Health Insurance), Comfort Adjei (HSP Officer-Cosmopolitan Health Insurance), and all participants for contributing to the forum.
The forum, which ended with a prayer from Dr. Rosemary Amporful (Medical Director, Gilead Medical Centre), highlights the commitment of cosmopolitan health insurance towards its partners and stakeholders.
The event shows the importance of collaboration and mutual understanding in achieving better health outcomes and improving the patient experience.
