A juvenile court trying two British girls arrested with six kilograms of cocaine in July this year on Wednesday adjourned the case to September 11.
This they believe will enable the defence open its case.
At Wednesday's sitting, the prosecution closed its submissions.
The girls both aged 16 years each are being represented by a three-member defence team.
Last Wednesday, the court destroyed the six kilograms of cocaine found in their possession.
The girls were arrested on July 2, 2007 at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) when they were going through formalities to travel on a British Airways flight to London.
The cocaine was found concealed in two laptop bags, which they were carrying.
They have since been charged with two counts of possessing and attempting to traffic illegal substance out of the country.
If convicted, the girls will face at least three years imprisonment each.
During interrogation, the girls alleged that one Farham Timothy, alias Fire sent them to Ghana to meet two men Kwame and Emmanuel for the bags containing the substances to be brought to him for a fee of 6,000 pounds.
Police are still searching for those persons as well as one Jay, also resident in the UK and was allegedly involved in the deal.
