The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported that seven more lives have been lost to Covid-19.
Currently, the death toll in the Service's latest update stands at 906.
As of August 9, the total number of active cases recorded was 6,440.
Meanwhile, 87 of the active cases are critical while 36 other persons are in critical condition.
Data from the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) reveals that 2,474 returnees have tested positive for the virus.

Some 308 new cases have been reported. Cumulatively, 109,736 cases have been confirmed by the GHS.
Despite the devastating surge in cases, a total of 102,390 persons from both KIA and the local communities have recovered and have been discharged.
The Ghana Health Service on Friday, began the distribution of some 177,600 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine procured on August 7 as part of the first batch of the Africa Union’s African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT).
A total of 11 districts in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions have been selected by the Service for the vaccination exercise.
About 6.9 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine have also been procured by government but are yet to be received.
According to GHS Director-General, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, persons inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccines are not to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as such an act may put their lives at risk.
