Aspiring CPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has indicated his party’s way of moving Ghana sports forward.Sports was neglected in the build up to the 2008 elections but it seems politicians have realized the key role it plays in national development as has been confirmed by Dr. Nduom.In an exclusive interview with Asempa Sports on Thursday, the aspiring CPP Presidential Candidate who also owns Division Two side Elmina Sharks stated that sports exude two critical qualities for development; discipline and teamwork.Therefore it is important for any country hoping to develop to take sports seriously since the human resource for developing the country largely depends on the youth who are associated with sports.According to him, the founder of the party, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah held sports in high esteem, hence the achievements in sports during his era.Dr. Nduom who was the captain of the Basketball team of St. Augustine College in 1973 believes CPP has the magic wand to propel Ghana sports to its apex.When asked how he was going to see to the realization of his dream, he said grooming the talents from the grassroots level and handling their progression steadily to the top level is the key.
