Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his contract at Real Madrid for another five years, but says he hopes to play at Real Madrid for another decade.
The 31-year-old was presented to the media on Monday after finalising a deal reported to be worth over £500,000 a week.
Cristiano Ronaldo.
But Ronaldo insists that his new deal will not be the last of his career – whether that be at Real or elsewhere.
"I've said it many times, this club has always been in my heart,” Ronaldo said. "I hope this isn't my last contract renewal.
"The present is what matters, this moment. I don't know what the future holds but I'll always be linked to this club in some way.
"I still have a long way to go. I've got a lot of years left in football, another 10 years, and I want to keep improving."
And the Real Madrid forward has also set his sights on what would be a remarkable achievement - scoring 500 goals for Los Blancos.
"I never thought I would break Raul's record, but 500 goals something possible, although not an obsession," the Portuguese star said.
"It's a figure which is possible, but I prefer things to come naturally"
Ronaldo, who joined Real in 2009, overtook Raul as the club's all-time top-scorer in less than half the number of games, with the forward bagging an astonishing 371 goals in 360 games since his move from Manchester United.
