Public Sector Economist Dr. Henry Jackson of the University of Cape Coast is calling on government to consider decentralizing the production and supply of energy.He has consequently proposed a national debate to fashion out the decentralization process.Dr. Jackson’s proposal comes in the wake of the energy crisis facing the country and the search for a way out.According to the Cape Coast University lecturer, there’s the need for government to source funding to enable individual regions to produce their own electricity depending on their energy requirements.
