Derrick Abaitey, Chief Executive Officer of Konnected Minds Podcast, is using his platform to empower vulnerable individuals and promote positive change in Ghanaian society.
Currently regarded as one of the leading podcasts in Ghana, Konnected Minds regularly features popular figures from Ghana and beyond who have overcome struggles to become successful.
Abaitey relocated from the UK to Ghana a few years ago and launched the podcast to influence behaviour, inspire growth, unlock potential and help people achieve their goals.
He has interviewed high-profile personalities including Hon Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Daniel McKorley and Nigerian artiste Ice Prince. Through such conversations, Abaitey highlights issues of mental resilience, financial literacy and skill development, stressing that empowerment requires tackling both internal and external challenges.
Konnected Minds covers personal development themes such as overcoming adversity, building self-confidence and developing practical skills. The discussions aim to resonate with a wide audience, especially those facing economic hardship, social isolation or other setbacks.
Beyond the podcast, Abaitey recently hosted the maiden “Success Code” event at the British Council in Accra. The Konnected Minds “Success Code” (#KonnectedMindsLive) explored principles and mindsets for achieving success in life and business, with a focus on wealth and influence.
By sharing stories of resilience and offering practical advice, Abaitey seeks to empower listeners to take charge of their lives and pursue their aspirations.
