Dest Logistics, dealers in shipping, warehousing and transportation, has won an international award for unparalleled customer service and business leadership.
The company picked up the award at this year’s Platinum Technology Award for Quality and Best Trade Name.
The awards, organized by Paris-based Association Otherways Management Consulting, were held in Berlin, Germany.
Dest Logistics’ award was under the Top Quality Customer Satisfaction Standards Module (TQCSS).
The TQCS “focuses on an organization to people relationship,” the organizers say.
The Chief Executive Officer of Dest Logistics, Mr. Godsway Dela Attipoe, told myjoyonline.com that the company`s consistent training of its staff to provide satisfactory customer service to its clients helped greatly.
He explained that the criteria for selection in this award category was based on information provided by customers, polls and voting. Periodically, he added, that reports by "our Marketing team through our Association Otherways Management & Consulting in Paris and other Consulting firms in Europe".
Mr Attipoe said his company`s business was guided by a recognition that to succeed in a competitive business environment such as freight forwarding required an aggressive approach to dealing with customers.
He is convinced that “this award will spur us on to continue to improve on the quality of our service to our clients.”
He exhorted service providers in Ghana to give true meaning to the mantra that the customer is king.
The stable political and micro-economic environment in the country, he said, should encourage many to venture into investing in the country for that is the only way that opportunities can be created and revenue generated for the development of the country.
He lauded the company’s staff for their hard work and dedication to duty.
But of particular importance, he insisted, are the clients of Dest Logistics whose confidence, loyalty and custom birthed the award. To them, he said, the company was hugely indebted.
