More of the failed pilgrims who have been housed at the Hajj Village for the past weeks have started leaving for their homes after it became clear they will not make it to Mecca for this year’s pilgrimage.
Apart from officials whom they accuse of giving them a raw deal, they say their agents have also taken their monies along to Saudi Arabia and abandoned them.
A good number of pilgrims living in Accra have already left, with the exeption of those from other regions who were still hopeful of a last minute miracle.
But they have also started packing out.
They couldn’t however resist venting their frustrations when Joy News spoke to some of them.
One man said he has no money left on him to travel back to the Northern Region where he hails from.
Another lady told Joy News she was particularly disturbed because her enemies will gloat at her failure to perform the Hajj.
