Director of Finance and Administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Opare Hammond, has vowed not to leave office despite a directive from the party leadership for him to do so.
Mr Opare Hammond has been asked to hand over to one Edward Tetteh.

Mr Hammond claims party Chairman, Paul Afoko, and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, are over stepping their powers.
He argues that only the National Executive Committee (NEC) has the power to remove him.
"No concrete reason has been assigned to me by them (Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong) why they called me into the office...to just tell me that they have come to the end of the road with me" said Mr Hammond,
Mr Hammond is a former Member of Parliament for Adenta.
He said he finds it difficult to believe that the two executives who campaigned "on the note of bringing us together, uniting us; on the note of using party structures [in taking decisions]...will do such a thing".
Mr Hammond says the style Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong are using to get him off his post is unprecedented.
"In the history of our party, this is the first time...that the [new] leaders in taking office are trying to sack national directors who are more or less just civil servants at the secretariat of the party", he lamented.
Mr Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong could not be reached for their comments on the matter.
