DJ Shaker HD emerged as the overall winner of Hitz FM’s Hottest DJ 2025, capping an exciting edition of the competition that spotlighted emerging DJ talent from across the country.
Among several skilled DJs who battled it out, DJ Shaker HD stood out with an impressive display of technical ability and crowd control, thrilling the audience across all rounds to clinch the top prize. He took home GHS 5,000 and was awarded six months internship with Hitz FM with pay.
The competition, held on 24th December 2025 at the Junction Mall in Nungua, was judged by an experienced panel comprising DJ Ice from the United Kingdom, DJ Ron from the United States and international DJ Kofi. Contestants were assessed based on skill, appearance and crowd engagement.
Second place went to DJ Mega, whose promising sets made him a crowd favourite on the night. DJ Expensive followed closely in third place, having been a strong competitor throughout the competition.
All seven finalists, including DJ Amy Dosty, DJ Don Khay, DJ Nyansah and DJ Gazy, delivered competitive and entertaining performances throughout the season.
The event was kept lively by MCs Mercury Quaye, Kwame Dadzie and Edem Tsotsome, who maintained high energy levels from start to finish.
The night was crowned with star performances from Wanlov de Kubolor, dancehall artiste Masaani and others, adding to the excitement of the finale.

This year’s edition reaffirmed the competition’s role in discovering and ushering in new DJ talent across the country, continuing the tradition of excellence that defines Hitz FM’s Hottest DJ.
