The Ghana Golf Association have started preparing towards 2016, Olympic Games after the International Olympic committee announced that Golf is returning to the games since being dropped after the 1904 St. Louis Olympics.
As a result the association from next week will be holding a clinic for junior golfers below 18 years at the Achimota Golf with the assistance of the world body and this will be under the tutelage of renowned golfer Gary Aliss.
Meanwhile president of the association Doctor Felix Frimpong says "despite we producing local champions in the sport our neighbors are far ahead and we must catch up before 2016 and bring more medals ahead of other sporting events in 2016" he told JOY Sports.
The 2016 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, are a major international multi-sport event to be celebrated in the tradition of the Olympic Games, as governed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The host city of the Games will be Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.
