A drowsy-looking police officer who wielded a rifle recklessly at Bekwai in the Ashanti region has been arrested.
A journalist at the scene told Accra-based Peace FM the officer was almost at the brink of pulling the trigger at a pregnant lady some metres away for no apparent reason.
A senior police official at a near-by polling centre, whose name was not mentioned, said he could not confirm his colleague was drunk as no test had been conducted on him.
He said his colleague had not been posted to the polling station where he had been loitering.
