The Dubai-Africa Partnership for Better Health Roadshow aimed at promoting medical tourism to the emirate has opened in Accra.
The two-day event which is under the auspices of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in association with Dubai Health Experience (DXH) is to avail to Ghanaians the medical services offered in Dubai.
The roadshow being held at the Kempinski Hotel brought together over 20 health institutions specialized in cosmetic surgery, orthopedics, cardiology neurosurgery, and general diagnostics among others.
Principal Administrative Officer, Medical Tourism Council of Dubai, Nishoo Ghosh in an interview said they offer nothing but quality health service.
She indicated that although Dubai is already a globally renowned tourist destination, it envisages making healthcare part of the lifestyle experience.
This she explained the country looks forward to achieving with an impressive range of premier accredited hospitals and over 35,000 healthcare professionals from 110 nationalities providing warm reception to patients in their own language.
Nishoo Ghosh added that they intend to be the pioneer in the field of medical tourism and be a market leader in providing high-quality medical services.
She also revealed that they will also support Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), medical centers, and private hospitals in Ghana with specialty areas like Cosmetic Surgery, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, General Diagnostics and Neurosurgery.
She urged local healthcare providers and the general public to visit various stands at the roadshow to build a partnership with hospital based in Dubai.
