The Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen has described the rapid development of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as a source of inspiration to Africa.
According to him, Dubai’s massive investment in infrastructure was certainly one of the ways Ghana could re-boost its economy, especially after the havoc the outbreak of COVID-19 has caused.
Mr Kyerematen was welcoming potential investors attending the ongoing Expo 2020 in Dubai who participated in the Ghana National Day Business Forum organised here today. (March 8, 2021).
The forum had the theme “Ghana: Limitless opportunities”. It focused on exposing business opportunities of five key sectors to the participants.

Mr Kyerematen said the forum was being held at a good time when Ghana is very much needed to showcase its limitless opportunities in order to attract investors.
According to him, 50 years ago, what Dubai had become presently was a dream which was worked on to become the reality of development which had manifested.
In his presentation, the Chief Executive Officer of GIPC, Yofi Grant, showcased to the participants a video which summarised opportunities available in the sector.
The video mentioned investment opportunities in the automobile industry, government’s Planting for Food and Jobs programme, expansion of factories health care, creative arts and sports.
